Kevin Michael McGoldrick was born in Rutherglen, Lanarkshire, on the 24th August 1967 to Kevin and Mary McGoldrick along with his younger sister Pauline.

 

After studying for the priesthood in Scotus College, Bearsden, Kevin was ordained for the Diocese of Motherwell on 26th June 1999 by Bishop Joseph Devine in St Columbkille’s, Rutherglen.

 

Father Kevin’s first appointment was to St. Thomas’, Wishaw in August 1999 as Assistant Priest. He was also given the added responsibility of school chaplaincy to St. Aidan’s High School, which he continued until he moved to Bellshill in 2011. His Parish Priest at this time was Canon Patrick O’Hare, former Parish Priest of St Gerard’s.

 

In 2001 he was transferred to St Aidan’s Parish, Coltness (2001-2005), and in 2005 Father Kevin was appointed as Assistant Priest to Our Lady of Good Aid Cathedral, Motherwell (2005-2011)

 

Father McGoldrick came to Bellshill in 2011, when he received his next appointment as Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Parish. At this time, he also served for a short period, as Chaplain to Taylor High School. Three years later, in September 2013, Father McGoldrick took on the additional responsibility of Parish Administrator of St Gerard’s.

In September 2020, Fr Kevin McGoldrick was appointed Parish Priest of St Patrick's Coatbridge after 9 years serving in Bellshill.
